Official GTA VI Posters Are Going Up Outside UK Shops, Starting With Smyths
A RockstarINTEL writer photographed an A1 GTA VI poster on the outside of a store at a UK retail park. Inside Smyths, flyers advertised the code-in-box pre-order at £67.99, collectable from November 12.
Reported — one outlet’s first-hand account with its own photos. Rockstar has not announced a retail poster campaign, but the posters are official artwork, not fan-made.
What was seen: RockstarINTEL says one of its writers spotted an official A1 GTA VI poster on the outside wall of a store at a retail park last week, and that the posters have been sent by Rockstar and Take-Two to “select retail stores such as Smyth’s”. Inside the Smyths toy store, A4 flyers said customers could pre-order the game for £67.99.
The rating on the poster: it shows a PEGI 18. RockstarINTEL says this is a provisional rating and that the final one will be published in the coming weeks. The site footer still carries ESRB’s “Rating Pending” notice for the same reason: no final rating has been published.
Code in a box, not a disc: the Smyths copies are the physical box with a download code inside. The pick-up date on the flyers, November 12, is the same day preloading starts.
The limit of this story: it is one retail park and one chain. We do not know how many shops have posters, which other chains are getting them, or whether any wider in-store campaign is planned.
