The Extended Look Sent Its Songs Up the Charts: 4.1 Million New Streams for “Inner Light”, a Report Says
A MusicEXP report covering August 27 to September 3 counts 4.1 million new Spotify streams for Elderbrook & Bob Moses’ “Inner Light” and an average rise of 7% across the trailer’s songs. It is about the trailer music, not a GTA VI tracklist.
Reported — the figures come from a music-industry analysis by Mat Ombler of MusicEXP, published through RockstarINTEL on September 14. Neither Rockstar nor Spotify released them, and we could not open the original report.
The songs: across the week of August 27 to September 3, the report says the songs in GTA VI: An Extended Look gained an average of 7% in streams. “Inner Light” by Elderbrook & Bob Moses added 4.1 million streams (up 3.3%), “Se Me Nota (Agarrame)” by Chimbala & Omega added 2.47 million (up 12.7%), and Captain & Tennille’s “But I Think It’s a Dream” added 80,744 (up 71%).
The artists: Bob Moses gained 450,243 monthly Spotify listeners (up 19.5%), Cliff Richard 230,501 (up 12.5%) and The Bellamy Brothers 225,257 (up 9.6%). “Inner Light” was also Shazamed 377,402 more times (up 57.5%).
The limit of this story: these are songs heard in a trailer. Rockstar has not published a GTA VI radio station, artist list or tracklist, so none of this says what plays in the game. Of the three songs above, only “Se Me Nota” is on our soundtrack page so far; a track goes on it once we have the timestamp where it plays.
Updated September 17, 2026: Rockstar has since announced a 34-track soundtrack album. The in-game radio is still not detailed.
Update, October 8, 2026: Rockstar has since named six in-game radio stations — Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics — but still no station tracklists. See the stations story.
