Activision’s Marketing Chief: GTA VI and Modern Warfare 4 Are “the Two Biggest Games of the Year”

Tyler Bahl says Call of Duty might even see “a slight uptick” in players when GTA VI launches.

Reported — VGC quotes Activision chief marketing officer Tyler Bahl from an interview with The Game Business. Asked whether GTA VI hype was pulling attention from Modern Warfare 4, he said: “Well, no offense to Zelda, but I think, you know, [GTA 6 and Modern Warfare 4] are the two biggest games of the year.”

On GTA VI’s November 19 launch, Bahl said Activision is not sure Call of Duty’s player numbers will drop, and that “we might actually see, you know, a slight uptick.”

The limit of this story: this is a rival publisher’s opinion, not a figure. Rockstar and Take-Two have not commented, and no sales numbers were given.
